What's New at Ballwin Days?!!

The Wolf Public House Presents

Ballwin Days "Bike and Blues Experience"

June 5, 2011

Bike Race Starts at 11:00

Music Starts at 1:00 till 6:00

The Rockin Jake Band

The Jeremiah Johnson Band with the Sliders

The Bike and Blues Experience is new to Ballwin Days. This years Sunday events will take shape on behalf of The Wolf Public House, Pfoodman Racing and the Alpine Shop. The Wolf and their staff, known for their commitment to community advocacy on health and wellness with events like The Wolf Howl 5k Midnight Run and the Alpine Shop Short Track Dirt Crits at Castlewood State Park plan on taking it up a notch.

This time promoter Ralph Pfremmer of Jimmyleg Presents adds his love of Blues Music to the mix, bringing to the main stage, The Rockin Jake Band and St. Louis 2010 King of Roots winner, The Jeremiah Johnson Band with the Sliders.

The bike race will be an ABC format: fast and furious race in A's at high noon, seasoned Vets race in B's at 1:15, Kids and Citizens race at 2:15. The course will be NOT YOUR TYPICAL off road bike race. We will have obstacles galore, steps, the Green Monster, the Toilet Bowl, and more, more, more. "This ain't no picnic Grandma. But you can shake a cow bell and scream as Jr. (or perhaps your husband) comes screaming by.

The Alpine Short Track Dirt Crits are the summers most popular off road racing in the area. In its fourth year, racers descend upon Castlewood State Park every Thursday in July to test their skill in fast track racing fun. Each course is different, always a party after. This years Short Track Dirt Crit races are again scheduled at Castlewood State Park.

The Start Finish will be right in front of the stage with the same awful commentary of yesteryear. Racers will each get a commemorative T-Shirt as part of their participation. Ballwin Days has a "Taste of Ballwin" going on within feet of the start/finish, food and drink for sale, a perfect day for Bikes and Blues.

Impressive.....This will be one of the most significant enhancements to Ballwin Days in the past decade. As a past Ballwin Days chairman I believe the community is in for a big surprise. I will be there; I hope you will too.
