On Personal Branding...

A couple points from my presentation on Tuesday at Lindenwood University.

Copywritten, Ralph Pfremmer, 2010

...your personal brand is your distinction, an offering of your storyline—a collage crafted out of your values—that which is relevant to anyone seeking to be within grabbing distance of your network and your position in the world—a broadcast of how you go about changing the world for the better, a social imagery…

…with a good and/or service attached

...A personal brand is a discipline linked to authenticity.  Being "real" is easier than any complicated fabricated storyline.  There is power in simply telling it like it is...telling the truth.

...Check in on the fringe daily, emulate the artists, the heroes, those centered on innovation, expression and change.  Paint a canvass by extending your storyline beyond the present and into the possibilities...

...Seek a perspective centered on finding those defining moments in life and adjust your storyline accordingly…

...All heroes parish, retire or step down; somebody has to fill their shoes & we are the replacements....

....Without identifying strategically who we admire, or at the very least, who might be the best hero to emulate when resources are low, one can't adequately prepare for the moment between raising a hand and saying "I'll do it" and the next step of the journey as an entrepreneur....
